1 AM wake up call (vent)

So my sister called me at 1 in the morning to tell me she is pregnant and proceeds to start crying.  She is not in the best situation, she has a 4 1/2 year old daughter who she barely sees.  My sister decided to buy a house 40 minutes away from all of us, she has been working in a resteraunt as a server for a few years now but since she is so far away from anyone who can help her with her daughter she has been forced to leave her in this area with family and only taking her daughter for 2 days a week.  She has been on again off again with her boyfriend.  This is the worse thing that could happen to her and the BF is a loser.  Now I know she needs to talk to our parents for advice but she refuses to and begged me not to tell them, I have no idea what else to tell her. If she was in a different situation I would love for us to be pregnant at the same time but this is bad.  Any other ideas???

That sounds like a really tough situation.  I would recommend talking to her more and trying to convince her to tell your parents.  If you're able to get her to be upfront with them maybe there can be a sort of mini-intervention where ppl help her get on her feet again near you guys and get a diff. job etc.  Good luck!

yeah i was in the shower today and all I could think about was her situation, maybe she could rent out the house she owns and move closer so we can all help her.  I want to help her but there is nothing I can do but try to give her the best advice I have.

this may sound snotty, but she bought a house 40 min away and leaves daughter with family for a job as a server?  is it really that good of a job?  can't she work at a restaurant closer?

the most you can do is be there for her, which it sounds like you're already doing.
