am I peeing myself?

or did my water break?  I feel so stupid right now, but I can't figure it out.  I got out of bed b/c I didn't feel well (like crampy tummy, diarrhea) and went to the bathroom.  I peed.  I swear I did.  Than sat there waiting for the diarrhea.  Nothing.  So I pushed a little and water came out.  Sat there more...more water.  Not a ton...more like tinkle, tinkle.  I seriously can't figure out if I'm peeing or it's my water.  I'm sitting on the couch now w/ a pad on and trying to figure this all out.  Whoever thought I'd be the girl who can't figure out if she's peeing her pants....not me.

    If you notice anymore on the pad then I would call your doctor.  With my first I didn't know if it was my water.  I though it was just leaking not broke after a little while but nope, it was broke and she came soon after.  With my third there was NO denying it was my water.

    my OB refers to your water breaking as a gallon of water, but I have a friend who couldn't seem to stop "peeing herself" and her water broke. ?It might be leaking instead of a gushing....basically I don't have an answer, I would continue to monitor and see....good luck!

    That is how my OB was with my first, she never said it might just be a smaller amount or several tiny gushes.  I sear it was only like 3 cups total that came out.  With my third it was like 5 gallons lol.

    I always imagined a huge gush.  This is like a quarter cup at a time.  I can't imagine having this much pee inside me.  I get up 3 times a night to go and it's never been this much. 

    Jamie: Did you have cramps like menstrual cramps?

    With my first contractions started after about 30 minutes from the first small gush.  They were all in my back so I didn't even know they were contractions at the time lol.

    With my third when my water broke with several huge gushes I did get crampy off and on and had a little blood when I wiped.  

    Since you are only 36 weeks I would go ahead and shower and eat if you want then call your doctor to see what he/she says.  I was 35 weeks with my first so as soon as I called they said to come in.

    Crap.  I was sorta hoping I was just a loser and keep peeing myself.

    It could still be pee but you never know.  I would be prepared just in case though.  When I went in with my first I didn't even think to shower or eat and I regretted that.

    It's a quick test at the office/in L&D to check. And definitely worth checking.

    Depending on where it breaks will determine what type of flow will come out so it could be a slow trickle or a huge gush. The gush would happen if it was at the bottom the the sac. GL!

    This. In my childbirth class they said to smell if it you weren't sure.
