My night in L&D...

Last night while DH and I were watching TV I rolled over and felt a gush of fluid. It felt odd, not like I had peed myself, but something different. I got up and ran to the bathroom. I couldn't pee and I was trying to see if more fluid would come out. Nothing did, and DH was goggling what to do if your water breaks online. It said of it is only a small gush to put a pad on and lay back down and then see if it happens again. So I did that...and about 20 mins later when I rolled over I felt another gush. I though for sure my water had broken and when I got up and went to the bathroom this time there was a pink twinged mucus in the toliet and on the TP. I called my Doc and she said to go to L&D to get examined. I though for sure that this was it and was nervous and anxious the whole ride there.

When we got there they hooked me up to the moniters and came in to do an examine. Even the nurse thought it was probably my water breaking, but after looking at the litmus test and some slides she took from my cervix, apparently is was not. She thinks that the exam I had yesterday probably just caused the bleeding and extra fluid/mucus. I was still not dilaited any more either, so they sent me home.

I have had contractions on and off all night, nothing too unbearable, but enough to wake me up. I am going to start keeping track of them, just to see if there is a patteren or if they are getting worse or closer together. I was totally bummed last night because I thought for sure it was the real deal, but I am actually a little optimistic that he still may come on his own before Sunday. Hopefully these contractions lead to something...
