...and I am on the verge of calling the docotor...contractions every 5ish minutes lasting 30-45 seconds...defininetly painful, espcially since most of the pain is in my lower back...holy crap I am starting to freak!

I had lower back pain too.   When you can't talk through them because they are too painful is a good indicator.
