3rd Trimester

Does this happen to you?

After I pee and stand up I feel like I immediatly have to go again, like bad! But it only lasts for about 30 sec. then im good to go. Its like my bladder is confused. I only ask cause I have had UTI I symptoms for like 3 months but my doc. office did 3 different tests and could find a thing. Then when I went to L&D for those bad pains in my sides they found blood in my urine. Unfortunatly my doc. was right there delivering a baby so he saw me(a 2nd opinion would have been nice) he decided I had kidney stones. When I was in his office 3 days later, and had never passed the stone amazingly there was no blood in my urine!!! (i had to ask them they didnt even check for it again!!!) So im trying to keep my eye on things to make sure there isnt a uti there my stupid ob's office is just missing!

TIA ladies

  • Did they do an ultrasound or some type of scan to confirm the presence of kidney stones? There is no way to know without doing a test (I've had them)... And if you have them, they can sit inside you for a long time and continue to wreak havoc until they pass, fun stuff :)

I sometimes get the same feeling after standing up - I think it's baby readjusting and perhaps putting pressure on your bladder and then as you start walking it eases off so the urge to pee eases off too.

  • I've always had blood in my urine, I was sent to a nephrologist a few years ago for further investigation who sent me to a urologist..who discovered nothing.  Over the last year and a half I have developed and been diagnosed with interstitial cystitis..which could explain the blood.

However, I always have to pee again when i stand up.  Everything shifts, etc.  I spend a long time in the bathroom now.
