...and admitted he was weirded out by sex last night.  I asked him if he knew that it was safe for me and the baby, to which he replied -

Yes I know it's safe.  But I just feel weird about having my penis so close to the baby.  It's like if I were to put my face up against a window, and then some guy were to come and put his junk on the other side of the window.... I know it's not actually touching me and it's not actually gay but I can't help but feel like it's wrong.

What do you say to that?!

Okay seriously, LOL!  I am sorry I know you probably don't think it's very funny.  I guess I just do because I don't even remember the last time that we had sex because of this reason!

Did you tell him he's not that close to the baby? LOL, jk. DH mentions stuff like that sometimes. I just look at him and remind him that the baby is in a bubble on the other side of my cervix. If it weren't safe, as you know, the OB would tell you so.

LOL no no, I did think it was funny!! I was so caught off guard by his reasoning I couldn't even begin to think of a come back!  I was proud of him for actually thinking that hard about something (he's a simple guy!)

It hasn't turned my dh off from having sex or stopped him from doing it. But he does admit that when he thinks about it, it feels wrong to have sex because his penis comes "so close" to the baby lol. Then he will say, "How would you like it to have a big penis coming towards your face like a battering ram?!" And he makes a fist and with a straight arm will make his fist come really close to my face and then move away and then back at my face. Hahahahaha it just makes the both of us laugh so hard when he does this!

Oh, you gave me a good laugh!  We stopped having sex at about 6 months.  And even at 4-5 months, he was trying to avoid having sex with me.  All he can think about is his stuff being close to the baby.  I blame myself a little because one night, baby was going wild just before we were going to have sex and I told him to feel the baby.  He begged me not to have sex saying he felt too weird and I think that was the last time we did it.  Oh well.  I can't wait until 6 weeks post baby!

I feel your pain, my DH is weirded out too. He got over my bump being in the way, but the first time he felt LO kicking around during sex, it completely killed the mood and we haven't done it since.

I just read that aloud to DH and he completely agreed.  He pretty much told me that he wasn't going to be having sex with me anymore because of that, and because he gets discouraged by having it be awkward and uncomfortable for us both.  I told him that when my due date gets closer, he HAS to have sex with me to try and get this baby out.  He just gave me this weird look.  I guess it's gonna be a lonely two months.
