Slipcovers...

Has anyone made slipcovers for dining room chairs? I am trying to update a dining room table DH's parents gave us for our dining room (which used to be a mancave) but can't find any slip covers that aren't like 15 bucks a piece. Since we need 4 I am thinking it may be cheaper to buy fabric and enlist my moms sewing skills. I just want to see if I am biting off more than she can chew :)

Re: Slipcovers...

  • if you can find some inexspensive fabric I would think it would be pretty easy.  But all the fabric I end up liking is on the more exspensive side, so it may be cheaper to buy them if you can find a good deal.  I've recovered te seats but not done actual slip covers.  Also remember that since it's a slip cover, it will need to be a pretty thick/durable fabric or it will wear & tear easily.
