Too young for a lovey?

Ryan is taking a pacifier now for falling asleep! Yay! But he also loves to rub his face with something, cloth diaper or small loveies. I know he shouldn't have these in his crib, but it helps him fall asleep.

Usually once he is asleep, the paci and lovey fall off to the side. I ditched the swaddle again, it wasn't helping again and he was getting really mad at having his arms constricted.

He isn't rolling in his crib yet, and the above items have made naps a reality!

I feel like the lovey is safer, since it is smaller than a diaper.......is it still bad or are we ok?

Eve always naps with a lovey the whole time and sometimes falls asleep at night with a stuffed animal that we take out of her crib when she falls asleep.

I don't know what age to start, we still swaddle.  But if she still loves pacifiers when we unswaddle I was thinking about getting her a Wubbanub.
