Fresh flowers. Tasteful fall decorations. I like having baked goods out, but don't burn a candle, etc. to make it smell nice. I am always suspicious of open houses where they are burning scented candles...it makes me wonder what smells they are trying to cover up
Definitely light a fire if you have a fireplace.

Ditto the baking thing... also, have a candy dish out and bottled water available. Try to put away all items that you don't 100% absolutely need to use daily. That way the place will look bigger and cleaner. Try to put away personal items like pictures, picture frames etc. You want the prospective buyer to imagine the home as being THEIRS... kinda hard to do when there's a million and one pictures of the current homeowner staring at them... Unless it's for sale by owner... disappear! People won't be honest or truthful when the homeowners are around...
These are some tricks we used (and were told to us by our realtor) to sell our townhome a few years ago. We only needed the 1 open house and we had an instant offer.
thanks ladies. I am going to use our scentsy candle that is sugar cookie, it smells like you just baked cookies. Cannot burn the fireplace because it is going to be 70 this weekend:)
Love the bottle water idea!! Our house is very organized and clean right now, our realtor commented that it looked like a model. I am just super nervous.
