Average daycare costs in South Charlotte?

For those of you in S Clt, how much does full-time daycare run on average for infants? And is it cheaper to just hire a nanny?

Re: Average daycare costs in South Charlotte?

  • When I looked 3+ years ago, for an infant it was around $250/wk.
  • I think Raleigh area is similar and it is around $250+ a week. A nanny is usually $300 a week or more, plus you must pay them for vacation and sick time and find (and pay) a back up provider when they are not available/sick.

  • About $1000-1200 per month.
  • Thanks. I was figuring around $1,000+ a month. Now, if I can just convince one of my parents to move down here...
  • I'm not in CLT, but I think if you're south enough to use a place in Ft Mill it's alot cheaper.

Ft Mill is cheaper. Just a few prices....Carolina Kids 190, Field of Dreams 215, Appleseed (around 200...I don't remember), ANCA 175.
