How long did you breastfeed? (poll in post)

I've been reading interesting statistics that say that at birth 70% of moms intend to breast feed, by 1 month only 40% are breastfeeding and by 2 months of age only 30%.  So I'm curious about you ladies.... (this is in no way judgemental, just an unscientific poll).

Thanks!  And please check any defensiveness, we all know that breastfeeding is difficult, often impossible, and we all do what we have to do and what we feel is best for our babies.

Still nursing here, plan on going at least 12 months. No teeth yet thankfully!

I also plan to BFed past 12 month... if I can make it past this biting stage.

I think the first choice "I'm still breastfeeding" is skewing your results. 

I've been doing it for almost 11 months now and plan to make it to a year then stop pumping and continue at bed time for a little while longer.  Maybe the responses should be I breastfed/have been breastfeeding for 'date range.'  It's a really good question, I always wondered.

I'm still nursing and plan to as long as DS wants, within reason of course. I really hope to wean him around 12 months though.

My milk never fully came in and we had latch issues.  Less than a month.

Impressive!  If the statistics I've read elsewhere are correct, then we are definitely not an average population.  Thanks for satisfying my curiosity ladies.

Still EP'ing and plan to do so through a year, although will start to wean and mix in frozen milk by 10 months.

Your results are also likely skewed by the fact that many non-BFers probably didn't open the post due to the title ;-)
