Domperidone ladies...

why can't I ever remember which of you used this?!  Anyway...I'm wondering if the meds affected your appetite any?  I've been on it for about three weeks now and I'm STARVING all. the. time.  And eating just as often!

I know the med's intended use is for reflux/digestive issues (which is funny because I'm still having my usual reflux issues) and it helps to empty the stomach faster so I'm guessing that's why I'm so hungry I could eat my own hands...

I can't say I noticed much of a difference, but I'm a cow anyway.

It could even be as simple as making all the extra milk burns more calories, making you crave more energy.

I haven't noticed any side effects besides increased milk production...but sadly even that seems to be starting to decrease now.  I really want to bf at least some through cold/flu season, especially when i return to teaching in feb...but not sure i'll make it

It IS working well for me and so far I'm quite pleased with it.  My production is almost back to where it was prior to my staph infection related surgery and three weeks of hardcore IV antibiotics.  With that said, my production wasn't that great to begin with so it's definately nothing to brag about at this point.  Only ONE of DD's EIGHT bottles each day is breastmilk.  But I'm determined that if I can only continue pumping 3oz every day for the next 12-18mos then that's what she'll get.  I keep reminding myself that something is better than nothing...I hope...

Hmm.. I am hungry more but I didn't even relate it to the domperidone! I figured it was because I am lactating more which you need lots of caloires for.
