I thought I would be able to keep working up to my due date but the doctor told me to stay home. He said I shouldn't be pushing stretchers anymore after he saw me walk. He thinks I may have moderate SPD so I am officially off work till she gets here. I feel bad about it because we are so short staffed in my unit at the hospital. Plus I am worried about the PTO and all of that good stuff lasting if she doesn't come next week. Ugh. I really feel like I am a failure for not being able to keep working.
Re: I thought I would make it
I say you are no failure if you take off now... your are getting close!
I worked up until the day I went into labor w/ DD... I'm not sure it's going to happen this time. Already being a mommy and pregnant is exhausting!
As someone who was on bedrest until today? Trust me, you are NOT a failure. The fact that you kept working this long is something you should celebrate.
Don't beat yourself up about it. It'll all work out.
