I just read "Her Fearful Symmetry" (Audrey Niffenegger) and really likes it. Also, Richard Russo's "That Old Cape Magic" was good. A quick read. All of his books are good, if you haven't read him before you really should. I am reading John Irving's new book now and it is decent so far.
I read all 3 of Jhumpa Lahiri's books recently and they were outstanding."Interpreter of Maladies" was amazing.
Some of my all time favorites - any book by Barbara Kingsolver,Tom Perotta, Curtis Sittenfeld, The Road, Middlesex, Life of Pi,Bel Canto....

I read it in 2 days. I could not put it down!
Right now, I am reading Stones From the River by Ursula Hegi... it is so good and I don't want it to end!
