Well I have really felt great up until around week 30. I had some swelling in my right foot only - which led to swelling of my right ankle and then up to my knee. Then my left foot, ankle, up to my knee and finally my hands. My knuckles are white. Mostly feel discomfort in my hands at night while sleeping.
My blood pressure has been perfect all along but the swelling is just miserable. At week 37 I gave in to the doctor's request to go on bed rest to get these piglets up (today is first day of bed rest). Of course if the baby decided to come any day they won't do anything to stop it since I am 37 weeks.
So at my last appointment, Friday, I was 2 cm dilated and 90% effaced so hopefully it will be soon. There's a full moon today and I have heard the Labor and Delivery Unit floods when there's a full moon - something to do with gravitational pull and the amniotic fluid? (shrugs shoulders).
C'mon little one! Mamma's ready to not be pregnant anymore! Who out there's with me!?
Re: 37 weeks - 2 cm dilted and 90% effaced and on bed rest due to swelling . . .
I'm a little jealous, I have really extreme swelling and have since the 1st Tri. I now have carpal tunnel because of it and have to wear a wrist brace, and I can't make fists with my hands, and my legs and feet are about 3 times the size, I cant hardly wear shoes at all, and my fingers and wrist feel broken at night, but my blood pressure is normal so my doctor hasn't even mentioned bed rest.
Good luck, I'm right there with you, in a week I'll be completely ready!
just saw that you are from Louisville...me too. Small world!
I'm from Louisville, too! Where are you guys delivering?
