No advice on outerwear but I did want to say that your baby's Michael Jackson costume is hilarious. You did a great job putting it all together.
Love the costume as well! Colton was still in a carrier last year when it got cold so we just tossed a warm blanket around/over him and the carrier when we went outside. He was only outside for a few minutes at a time, if that.
He is now 14 months old and loves to be outside so we'll need to get a coat this year.
On cold days DS is in socks, shoes, long pants, long sleeve shirt with a hooded jacket. Everything was bought at Target. I was also in the mall yesterday and Gap Baby seemed to have some winter jackets.?
Last year, we also just used a blanket over the carrier, plus a hat and mittens.
This year, I'm opting for sweatshirts with hoods and we'll see how that goes (layering long sleeved t's as well). If it's too cold, we're not going to be spending time outside anyway. Plus, it's such a pain b/c they aren't supposed to wear coats in their car seats so then you have to stand out in the cold to put a coat on?!? Crazy!!
