This makes me want a kid

Not a baby, a kid.

DH has a friend who has a totally adorable child. This kid is sharp and goofy and generally fabulous.

This kid's halloween costume? A kitty banana.

Why? Because they had a banana costume, he wanted face paint, and when they asked what he wanted painted on his face, he replied "I want to be a kitty banana, so I need whiskers."

And today, the same kid told his dad that he needs a pen to tuck into his shirt so that he can look more like dad.

Moments like that seem to me to be the total upside of parenthood.

It is.  It really is.

Like last night when I was putting Ryan to bed...he told me to check in his ToT bag because a couple of houses let him pick the candy and he picked the Almond Joys for me.  Then this morning when I woke up he had put one next to my pillow.  

Yeah I cried.  It was too cute.

Okay, those last two made me laugh and then change my mind.
