but what is the differences in types of tearing (1st degree, 2nd, 3rd etc). im sooo confused!

I'm pretty sure it's the severity of the cut/tear... like 1st degree is a little cut requiring maybe a few stitches, whereas 3rd degree is much worse, requiring many stitches..
