I love Desmond. Wanted to consider it for Desmond Tutu since my husband has a lot of ties to South Africa. He said no.

Orion is NMS but it seems to be well liked on the board here. It comes up fairly regularly. 

I think Desmond, while it's a great name that I like, is  a bit clunky and needs a simple middle name like Charles.

Love Desmond, not sure about the flow of Orion. It seems like there are a lot of O's, and the meter seems off. They are not terrible together, I just think something else might complent it better. If it has special meaning for you, though, go for it.

I like Desmond.  I don't think Desmond Orion sounds all that great.  They both kind of sound like they end in the same sound (though I know they don't).
