at 13 dpo I got a 40...I'm concerned because I got my first bfp on a poas at 10 dpo so I thought it'd be higher than that by day 13. My dr isn't real optimistic so neither am I...I'm in a funk. I get my second beta done on Monday.
Anyone have anything to share if you had a low beta in the beginning. I'll take both good and bad stories. I'm trying to be realistic.
Re: if you had low betas come in pls...
i you! lol
It does make me feel better. I just found my betas with my first son and at 15 dpo I was at 75 so maybe I'm a slow grower. thanks for sharing.

Don't quote me, but I seem to remember being right around 13dpo and got a 25, 14dpo and got a 50, and Ava was about 15dpo 99 or something.
And I've seen TONS of stories about those low numbers early on being just fine! it's all in the double !
GL !
beta #1: 62.4 (9dp5dt)
beta #2: 136.2 (12dp5dt)
beta #3: 378.7 (16dp5dt)
1st u/s was at 6w2d: baby measured at 6w1d (not a big deal), but the yolk sac was small. that combined w/the fact that the dr. wanted my #3 beta to be in the 800-1000 range had him concerned. one comforting item was that we did get to see the heartbeat at this 1st u/s w/118 bpm. follow-up hcg/beta taken had me in the 6k range and w/in 100-200 of the lower limit (not 1/2 of the lower limit like beta #3 was).
2nd u/s was at 7w2d: baby measured at 7w1d (showing a full week's development), so the dr. was starting to feel better that this pregnancy had a decent chance of going the distance now. hb was at 138 bpm.
3rd u/s was at 8w2d: baby measured at 8w2d (as much as it wasn't a big deal to be just a day behind, i liked that it was more freeing to my heart for it to be the same as where i actually was). hb was: 164 bpm.
4th u/w was at 10w2d: baby measured at 10w2d and hb was: 161 bpm. this is the day we graduated, too.
5th u/s was at our nt scan and the baby measured about 4 days ahead of the 12w6d that it was, the hb was 155 bpm (drs. assured me that the hb does slow down the further into the pg you get and it is better to have it below 160 by then).
i shared all that to say to not give up hope just b/c you are experiencing a slow start. you and your baby can overcome and show that the numbers and averages are just guidelines. i truly believe in not giving up until it is for sure certain time to do so.
I have been low with two of my three pregnancies. The only one with a poor outcome was the one with the good betas, go figure!
With Siobhan, I was 61 at 14 dpo and then 57 at 16 dpo then 118 AT 18 dpo. Doubled from there out. This pregnancy (19 weeks) I was 114 at 15 dpo then 180 at 17 dpo and doubled from there out. Maybe you are a slow starter like me. GL!
thanks ladies for the encourgement. it doesn't help that i'm a poas addict and i bought 10 from early-pregnancy-tests.com and they have not increased with intensity. they are incredibly light. i know you're not supposed to care about that darkness of the line but in my experience the line does get darker the longer you're pg. so i don't know.
i need to stop and focus on my son, something positive.
