How long did you bleed after getting Mirena?

hoping some over 35's have a Mirena

It's been 10 days and still bleeding.... and did your Dr tell you thtat you can't "do it" until bleeding stops after insertion?  THX

As a matter of fact, I just had mine removed today!   

I am trying to remember, I think I had spotting for a pretty long time, several weeks in fact.  My doctor didn't say anything about waiting for the bleeding to stop before we had sex again.  I actually ended up still having irregular, really light periods and spotting the whole time I had it - they only lasted maybe 3 days.

You're not going to like hearing this, but I spotted/bled for about 8 weeks after insertion.  And that was directly after bleeding for 8+ weeks postpartum.  My doc never said anything about not having sex.  I was still so tired after having #2 that it wasn't happening too much anyway lol.

Still bleeding.  But very lightly.  Had it inserted at 9 weeks pp.  I thought it was my period, but now that I see your post, it makes sense.
