Yeah, um, I forgot my husbands birthday yesterday.

I can not freaking believe it. I feel like an A$$.

We have had so much going on with The Teen lately (I havent shared the latest, consider yourselves lucky about that, LOL) that my mind has been in la-la land. I had no idea that yesterday was the 29th. He didnt even say anything to me, poor guy.

How I remembered a whole day later? My grandparents sent him a birthday card in the mail. My grandparents remembered, but his own wife didn't.

He was amazing and told me that it was not a big deal and that he understands that we both have a lot going on.

We ARE having a party tomorrow that is a Halloween/Birthday party, and this has been planned for a long time, so he does get a big celebration at least. And, he will get some extra nookie for being such a good sport.

  • My DH forgot my birthday once.  In his defense, he was literally working 7 days a week.  I actually felt bad for him, once I realized he truly forgot it- because I knew that once he realized it, he was going to feel like crap.  And he did.  He saw a birthday card from someone else & immediately realized what had happened.  We're not huge on 'celebrations' anyway, but the next night he made the effort to be home for dinner (which, at that time was next to impossible), picked up dinner from a really nice deli and gave me a couple of CD's I'd been wanting.  He was forgiven :)
  • Yeah, I will pay the piper. That is a given.
