Sweet potato dog treats...

So I am trying to make homemade sweet potato dog treat (the dried kind). I've had them in the oven at 195 for 2 1/2 hours and I don't think they are even close! I am starting to feel like I am wasting energy with the stove on forever for...dog treats!

we buy this kind from petsmart - little sweet potato sticks with dried duck wrapped around it.

i don't like duck - but even I admit those treats smell dang good! they LOOOOVE them.

I sometimes just give them fresh cooked sweet potato.
