I don't understand how the Duggars claim to be so thrifty and resourceful when on several episodes I have seen their baby wear brand new clothes from stores like Gymboree and the Children's Place, and I know this because I have seen the exact clothes in the store. They also have a brand new crib and swing for the baby, too.
Re: The Duggars being "thrifty"
Chances are the stuff was free... just like when all of the JK8 kids had gymborrr on from head to toe every week.
I think before the show, they made clothes and thrifted. I watched the show when they built their new house, and in the credits, there was a section about "Thank You" and listed a ton of brand names. So I'm guessing now they probably get free stuff as product placement on the show.
I don't get why people don't have the venom for the Duggars that they do for J+K (before the divorce). The Duggars are doing nothing different - pimping out their family moments for money. Not saying it is right or wrong, but lots of hypocracy regarding the two families.

Im sure alot of it is giving to them. But they also showed where they went to a big second hand sale and Anna got the Graco sweet peace there which is a item thats in right now, she also got a bouncer that I see in the stores all the time aswell. I have also bought dd gymboree and gap that were part of this season from a second hand store. So they could have still gotten the clothes second hand but it could also be giving to them for the show as well.
I agree. They finally don't have to be so thrifty so why not
