i'm looking for a classic girls name (meaning, nothing that will be stamped "born in 2009") with an easily adapted nn.

(ex. liz is and easy jump from elizabeth, izzy to isabella etc.)

DDs mn will be elizabeth after my MIL.

I think that Katherine/Katie/Kate is really classic.  I would stay away from any of the older sounding names that are making a comeback because those will sound really 2009.  I also like Rebecca/Becky/Becca and Allison/Allie.  Those are my top non trendy names.
