It looks very good to call. Honestly, I sometimes wonder if the employer doesn't call just to see if the prospective employee will - it shows whether they really want the job or not.
Oh I hate those situations! Don't want to be pesky, but don't want to seem indifferent either. Did he send a follow-up letter after the interview? Was it a "We'll call you either way." or "We'll call you if you got the job"? Personally, I probably would call Monday, but that's just me. Ugh, I hate when people say they'll call on a specific day and either don't call or call at the VEEEEEERY end of the day.
