PSA: when buying a carseat

Make sure the cover comes up to wash!  Ours does, and it's been washed probably once a month...I always assumed they all came off.  But we were out with a friend who has a Britax (not sure which one) and her little boy had a HUGE blowout, diarrhea diaper and it was all over the carseat and she said it doesn't come out to wash!  I don't know if she was wrong, or if it's all Britax carseats, but I felt so bad for her.

The cover should come off.  Tell her to go to this site and look up the seat she has.  At the bottom of the page she should see a link for a video on how to remove the cover.

Oh thanks for the tip!  I'll have to pass it along.  I thought it sounded strange... but I wasn't sure since we don't have a Britax.

I have already washed ours a bunch and will keep this in mind for the next seat.
