WDYT of my new diaper pail?

I still have to find a liner that fits  *sigh*

Against my anti-plastic judgement I got this one because ... (wait for it) ... the lid LOCKS!  I thought it was a nice perk for when DD is mobile so random things don't wind up in it and dipes don't wander out of it!

ETA:  It also rolls ... so I don't have to carry a stinky bag to the laundry room!  (ah ... one floor apartment living does have its perks!)

  • My only concern is that it looks pretty "sealed."  Sealed cans can sometimes = bad stink issues, and ammonia issues.  Watch it carefully for either of those two problems.  If you start having problems, you can just prop the lid open for air circulation.
  • Looks nice.  I second Glads experience with sealed diaper pales.  I use a plastic one and just take the top off, carry it to the washer, dump it in, wipe the inside with bac-out and throw that in with the laundry.  I have yet to have any lingering smells in the can because of this and it saves from having to buy a liner or two!

  • I have that garbage can in my kitchen. It is great! The only problem is the dog has learned how to pop the lock. If you knock it over really hard it pops. I'm sure it will be fine for your diaper pail though!
  • I have that in my kitchen. I really like it. I'm using another SimpleHuman trash can as my diaper pail.
