How long did it take? DD has an appointment tomorrow. The dr actually has some H1N1 shots in at the moment, so i think I will get it for her. She had a reaction the the seasonal mist, but this will be a shot. She should have no reaction correct? her birthday party is tomorrow night, and I don't want to make her sick.
I do however want to make sure that she has the shot more than 10 days prior to us travelling on 11/27.
Re: If your dc had any reaction to flu shots
My kids had both the seasonal flu shot and the H1N1 and had no reaction...except a little tender at the injection site. If they get the flu or sniffles it will be from a virus they picked up before the flu shot. The shot takes about 10 days to 2 weeks to become effective though.
Obviously there are kids that could be allergic to it. Maybe an egg or sulfa allergy could trigger a reaction...but you would never know until the shot is given. They are more likely to get a "reaction = sick" from the mist.
