ugh temp drop at 3dpo

i've never had a temp dip at 3dpo before, granit i did take it earlier than usual b/c i woke up and was just waiting for the time to come to temp.  but i couldn't believe my eyes when i saw my temp dropped instead of rose.  so dissappointed already in this cycle.  not to mention i'm irritable.  i think i may retire the thermometer for this cycle, i can't sleep b/c i keep waking up too early to temp.  so frustrated already and i just began.  oh well.

Dont worry about a drop at 3dpo....its only the temps at the end of your cycle that really matter! I always get a temp drop at 3-4 dpo....just not this cycle!

thanks for the optomistic words.  i just couldn't believe it this morning, in all my years of temping/charting (LOL) i've never had a temp drop like that so early.  at least you give me some hope.

This is why I don't like charting... It makes you over analyze what is going on and IMO puts more stress on the TTC stuff.

Do not stress about one temp - especially one temp at 3dpo.  Good luck!

Yeah, don't over analyze. Wait until you're at least 10 dpo to start worrying about temp drops (or CD34 like me).

Don't worry about this! I had a similar temp dip at 2DPO and it worried me (only b/c i have a short LP) but as you can see, it went back up again.

One temperature does not a chart make (i had to remind myself of this at 2DPO, haha).

hang my head in shame i guess i was just really expecting a temp rise today.  i know it's still early.  temping/charting makes me go a little crazy.  lol

well, at least you have a partner in crime in early worrying about temps, MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. hehehe, at least you're not alone. This process makes us nuts, it's ok.

When you have a temp drop like that, it just means the corpus luteum/progesterone took it's time a bit.  You have the initial "I've ovulated" rise, then 3-5 days later a slight drop, then a second rise.  Your chart might look triphasic but it won't be - it'll just have a fallback rise.  Some ladies even go below their coverline.  I did on my BFP month last June.
