    Okay!  I will check it.  I haven't been on lately as we got rid of our blackberries. 

     

    Currently I am standing in the bathroom, with my sister's laptop, while L watches ninja turtles, and I debate what to do with my hair as it is raining.

    Seems like when I use S priority, it always is too dark, but if I bump it down, then there is a blur.  DOes that make sense?

    I used RAW for the first time and the darkness was easily fixed in PS.  Also, if you want to avoid the darkness (which you ideally do), you have to shoot in Manual.  That way you can also adjust the f stop to get the right exposure.  I will admit to not taking that approach just because I thought it'd be a fun pic to try and get!

     

    ETA: And try a few different shutter speeds because sometimes you don't need to go as high as you think!

    For some reason I didn't think you could do much with raw in PSE?  

     

    I am not daring enough to shoot in RAW, yet.

    OO.... I have been looking at my histograms more, and trying to change settings to see how they will change the histograms.

    I have never used RAW before and just figured I'd try it out.  So I did the RAW+jpg.  RAW files open up a new window in PSE and it is basically camera settings, so you can choose the white balance, etc.  Then, when you are done adjusting a bunch of settings on that screen, you can edit them in the regular edit screen.  Hope that makes sense.  I have been majorly slack in the picture taking dept.  Just wanted to get some 4 year ones of DD!

    Can I have some jpeg picures and raw on my card at the same time?

    Yes, but the card will fill fast and it does use a lot of battery.  Just choose RAW+jpg and it will make 2 copies of each photo you shoot.
