I was talking bigger, dramatic stuff. Things that you had to get past and overlook in order to be with your SO - not the cap on the toothpaste/seat always up stuff.

DH got into pot and alcohol in 6th grade, by freshman year he was into meth. By 16 he had to move out of his parents house, he went to California and dropped out of school and got into heroin. He figured life wasn't working there so he came back home. He lived this life until 3 weeks before I met him. We fell in love and got married 8 months after meeting each other, during that time he relapsed (I didn't know) after about 4 months of marriage, he told me the truth. We tried to make things work but ended up separting. A week later I found out I was pregnant... he checked into rehab. He's been clean for half a year now and things couldn't be better.
I love my life with my DH, he's so excited to be a father! I'm proud of how far he has come.
That is quite a story - Congrats to your DH for staying clean - very impressive. I'm glad things worked out for you. That must have been a very difficult journey for you - so happy your story has a happy ending!
Sorry I didn't see it for so long - had to get to dinner.

Oops, in reading other posts I realized this wasn't the kind of "sordid" past you were asking about. sorry!
No - this was more what I meant, although I realize that stories like yours aren't exactly a dime a dozen - frankly, my more 'sordid' stories are staying under wraps - I don't know that I have the courage to share that you do (although mine don't really compare).
