What doll are you getting?

DD already has 2 Corolle ones.  The small and the bigger baby.  My mom wants me to get her the American Girl Doll Bitty baby, but that looks just like the Corolle ones she has.

I need other ideas.  She doesn't really need a doll, but it was a tradition in my family when I was growing up that I always got a doll for Christmas.  She loves dolls, but I don't want a ton of dolls that all look the same, do the same thing.

Bella really wants a crawling baby. I'm done with shopping for her, but I think that's what I'll tell one of the grandparents to get her. She's got at least 15, and none that crawl.

my mom is getting DD an "Our Generation Doll".  It looks so much like the American Girl dolls but they are a lot less money.  I don't see spending over 100 for a 4 year old's doll.

Dd loves baby dolls. This is probably all nutty and PC sounding, but I was thinking of getting her a non-white baby doll for Christmas this year. All of her babies are blue eyed blond haired little things. She recently got a boy baby doll (we know he's a boy because he's, ahem, anatomically correct) and it made me realize that all of her other dolls are pretty much the same.

I'm not certain yet, I'll have to look around, but I was thinking of maybe getting one of the Bitty Babies with Asian features so that she'll have at least one doll that looks like her cousins.

since they already own dolls maybe they would be underwhelmed with it, but i love DD's baby stella doll which i believe is by manhattan baby. it doesnt do anything, although it has a magnetic mouth/pacifier thing. but i love that its all soft and that it doesnt do anything. dolls that blink kinda creep me out and i love the creative play.

Not for Christmas, but DD is getting the bitty baby for her big sister present.

DD has the Corolle Calin doll and loves it! We got an AG book in the mail the other day and she really wants one. I am thinking of getting her the bitty baby.

Oh and of course she has plenty of dolls but it is a tradition that the girls in our family get a new doll for Christmas every year too. I wasn't going  to get DD a doll for her second Christmas because she had just gotten her Calin doll 6 months before and my mom acted like I was commiting a sin if I didn't buy her a doll! lol
