wdyt of this play tent - excessive?

image

its like 4 1/2 feet in diameter so plenty of room for 2-3 kids to play in there. it also costs around $200... it comes in this style along with a more princessy one.

  • I think it's adorable, but I doubt I'd spend $200 on it, just b/c I'm not sure it would capture my kid's attention long enough to merit the price.

  • SO CUTE!  I'd be all over that if I had girls
  • Well, if you have $200 to spend on it, go for it. It's completely adorable!

I think it may be something that's sometimes cool for now, but I think a 6-8 year old girl would still really enjoy it...a lot.

  • Adorable. Is it made by Haba? (I think I recognize it from a catalog that sells Haba toys.) All of their stuff is really well-made but still a little overpriced, IMO. Still, it's so cute that if you can afford it and think you're child would get a lot of use out if it I say go for it.
  • If you have the $200 to spend, I think it is cute.  My kids have a pop open Thomas tent and they have been using it for years.  They never get sick of it.  I just don't think I would spend 200 for it.

  • I think Target has one close to it for a bit cheaper.

We put up a small tent in the playroom that the kids love. They kind of wrestle with it so I wouldn't pay that much.

  • Actually, Target has a huge variety to choose from.

yup, it's Haba. i know its overpriced but i just love it and we can afford it so i think i'm going to just get it. we also wanted to get a table and chairs for their playroom for xmas so i'm a little torn. i mean, we could get both (and shockingly, DH seems willing to consider that) but it's just downright excessive to spend that much on DD for xmas - i dont want to be those ridiculous people kwim?

  • I'm a big Haba fan. If I had a girl and the room in a bedroom, I would get it as a special gift.

  • I would get it if you have the money because my kids love their tent and use it  alot and that one is pretty so I wouldn't mind having it around, the one I bought is pacific play and was only$60 it isn't that attractive  but it had a tunnel I knew my ds would love....
