give me gift ideas for 2 1/2yo boys

People are starting to ask me. I have no clue. He has blocks that he could seriously be happy with for the rest of his life. Between those and his little mini tonka trucks he needs nothing. They won't go for something for savings either. They want to get him a "thing."

I'm lazy and don't like the whole gift part of Christmas  (unless it's cool and for me-- ha. jk). Help a girl out?

• I would say if he isn't already he will soon be very into letters, numbers and shapes. So puzzles, magnets, leapfrog stuff anything to do with these. ?We spend lots of time learning and loving on these subjects lately. ?
• And of course trains.?

train tracks, marble maze, outside toys: bikes, helmet, balls; sports stuff, dvds, paints, playdoh.  I love this age - I think I get more excited about the toys than he does.   I just dying for him to go poppy in the potty so we can play with the marble maze that's in his "big present" bin.

DS LOVES his wooden trains.  Duplo blocks are a big hit, as are matchbox cars.  Books are always good.

Matchbox cars, duplos, art supplies, and books. My DS is really into trucks, tractors and other farm equipment/heavy machinery. He loves books about them and there is a John Deere book series that is really cute. I am also trying to collect books about all of the holidays, maybe your relatives could get him Christmas books.
