Question and TMI---1st period after kid

So it's been 7 glorious months with no period. Until 2 days ago. And, OMG, it's the worst one I've ever had! Super heavy and feel like crap. Is this normal??

Lucky you! I got my first at 7 weeks pp. I think it is normal for it to be pretty craptastic the first time you get it pp. Hope it goes away soon!

I am 4 cycles in and still, with each cycle, I think it is the  worst period I have ever had. Seriously, I dread it. I guess it is all normal, but I wish it wasn't!

I just edited my response because somehow it got chopped up and made no sense.

I think what you are experiencing is normal.  Your body is doing something it hasn't had to do in a very long time.  I think I am on 4th or 5th cycle and they are still a lot heavier than they used to be and last longer, but not so much painful anymore but the first 1 or 2 was more painful and crampy.  I am sure this is one of those things that is going to vary a lot from person to person though.

Mine was nonexistent... but I am on Loestrin bc.  They say that happens.  Thank God though... I was glad it wasn't awful.
