If you've rescheduled DC's bday party due to illess

Has anyone had to reschedule their child's birthday party due to illness? If so... how many weeks did you post pone it by?

DS has been at children's hospital for 10 days due to pneumonia and rhino virus.  He is able to go home Friday. Originally we were told he'd be here 3 days so his 1st birthday party was moved to Nov. 7th; I am debating pushing the date back further to give him more time at home prior to the party.

 I realized this may seem like a trivial thing to try and schedule in light of his illness and all he has been through these past 2 weeks so I'd apprechiate not being flamed. We really want to celebrate not only his birthday but is recovery from illness as do family members and some friends. 

Obviously guests will be washing their hands upon coming into our home and no one who is ill at all will be attending.  We will also be keeping the party short (1.5 hrs).

DS was sick this year, so I moved it to the following week. It was a "simple" illness, just a fever and him being mopy. BUUUT he was sick that following weekend (again) so, we ended up just canceling it. I hated to do it, but all the other wknds were full.

We saved all the decorations and we're doing the theme this coming year. (bugs)

I would probably push it back another week or two if you can. He may still be recouperating and tired after pneumonia and rhino virus. Sometimes it takes a bit longer to be back to normal and completely out of your system with something like that.
