Do you take your baby out in the rain?

We have been stuck in the house for a few days and would love to get out...Its going to rain all day again..He is 7 weeks old today...

Re: Do you take your baby out in the rain?

  • Whenever DS was younger .. I didn't let rain stop me.  I put a blanket over his infant carseat so he wouldn't get wet.  Easy peasy, problem solved.

  • If I can leave her home with DH then I do if not I continue about my day...  its not like your going to do a rain dance :)
  • Thanks ladies:) Think I will venture out w/ him later today:)
  • Yep. I just put a blanket over her car seat. We obviously don't do any outdoor activities but I have no problem taking her out in the car.

  • The last two dr appointments she's had have been on days where it was pouring down rain. I covered her in a blankent and then the car seat in my raincoat. I have been wanting to take her out walking in the stroller, but it won't stop raining!
  • Yep.  I always have him covered and we go right from the car to the store and are never outside longer then that.  However, it is raining today and when I spoke to my mom this morning she strongly encouraged me to stay home with LO today.  As soon as DS is awake, I will be feeding him and heading out Stick out tongue

  • Sure why not? Just use a plastic rain cover.
  • Google the UppaBaby bubble - it is made by the people that make the UppaBaby stroller - but it is an awesome cover that fits on any carseat.  I love mine, blanket kept blowing off in the wind and this is like a little tent with a bug/wind/rain cover - totally cool!
