I thought that Cooper was ready for 2 naps around 5 months but after a few weeks of two he went right back to three and seems pretty content there. My issues are twofold, he's a very inconsistent napper, he can nap anywhere from 30 - 1 1/2 hours but the naps are different every day and total nap hours are different, and we are going to start Ferber in a couple of nights and I'm wondering if it would just be easier to make the two nap transition when we Ferber for naps.
So when did LO drop the 3rd nap and if you remember what their schedule looked like with 2 vs. 3.
TIA
Re: When did DC drop to 2 naps?
logan dropped the 3rd around 6 months.
his 2 nap schedule with day care (he usually only takes 1 super nap for me)
6-7am wakeup, bottle
8am: breakfast yogurt, fruit
9am: am nap (45min)
11am: snack, puffs or something
12:30pm: lunch
2:00pm-4pm: bottle, nap
5:30pm: dinner, bath
6/6:30pm: bed and bottle
Emmalee still takes 3 naps if she takes her second nap really early or was up really early that morning. So far today she had her naps at 8am and noon. She keeps rubbing her eyes right now as I type so she may go down again in a few mins. Her naps run about 1-2 hours each.
On daycare days she usually only has 2 naps just because her day is a bit delayed if that makes sense.
