DH has a red 40 in-tolerance! He was Dx as a child with ADHD and his mom decided rather than putting him on drugs she would try a new diet thing, by a  man named Finegold. It has been "dis-proven" as working but the difference for my husband as a child was clear. Even now I can tell if he has had to much of a trigger food. A HUGE trigger for DH is also oranges, which is common for many kids with this food allergy. That is because the red dye is made partly from oranges. If you are interested in learning more you can google Finegold and it should come up with lots of info. I was actually on the Finegold diet while pg because we were worried about exposure prior to birth. If you want to talk about it at all don't hesatate to call or email me. I will be the first to admit that the list of 'no' foods is very long and it can be a challenge but for our family it has also been a savior. And if I might be so bold, consider taking oranges out of Grey's diet, you might be surprised.
