Baby Names

Carmyn Reese?

DH loves the name Lindsey and I love the name Audrey however we don't like each other's name choice at all.  One we both like is Carmyn.

 Like it? Hate it?

Our daughter's name is Claire.  We're not trying to go with names with 'C' obviously because of our other name choices.

Our choice for a boy is Luke Mason.

Re: Carmyn Reese?

  • I think its super cute:)
  • I like Carmen. ?I don't see any reason to use a 'y' in place of the 'e', that just looks silly, imo. ?I think Carmen and Claire are adorable together.

  • Carmen to me looks 100% better

I was confused by the random Y at first glance and read Camryn

I would say stick to the traditional spelling, and you have yourself a winner

  • Don't like Carmyn w/ the "y".  Not at all.  It's just a part of the "y" trend that I find to be silly.  Spell it the right way - Carmen.

  • It's nice enough, but I wouldn't spell it that way, and it's totaly stripped of gender identification.  Don't do that to your poor child. Maybe use the first OR middle and give a more gender specific name as the other?

  • I like it, but prefer it spelled Cameron.  She'll be correcting people for the rest of her life.
  • Ignore my other post.  I thought you were asking about "Camryn".

I like Carmyn too, but spelled like pp suggest (Carmen).

  • I like it but spelled this way it looks like a typo you and that you meant Camryn.
  • I like Carmen.  I do not like it spelled with the 'y'.

  • Carmen is pretty, the Y is nms.

  • Thanks for the posts about the spelling.  You're right I think I'm beginning to prefer the Carmen spelling.  I've seen it both ways and never really thought about which way I prefer.  That's just the one I typed first I guess.

And I'm sure DH will prefer Carmen as he does not like Cameron for a girl and the other spelling does get confusing.

     Thanks!
