I have had bronchitis (many years ago) and Pneumonia (10 years ago) and I had a nasty chest cold that I will never forget as long as I live (13 years ago) But I have never had the flu.
I just realized this. My kids have never had it or anything close to it either. Ashley has thrown up maybe 3 times in her life, and Ian never has.
This means that we are over due, doesn't it?
I am a skeered...
Re: Ya know, I am pretty sure I have never had the flu...
I don't think I've ever had the flu, either.
I am always amazed when people say their kid has never thrown up. I must have the pukiest kids ever. They've both had several stomach viruses and passed many of them on to me. Poor Bennett had one that lasted 10 days last year.
Matthew has thrown up twice in his life. I gave him a dose of Motrin on an empty stomach and it make him barf 2x in 20 minutes. That was it.
Katherine threw up 3 times when she had RSV.
Neither of them have spit up more than 10 times total. I just don't have pukey kids. Thank God.

Me either. My mom had it once, and I've had other things, but not the flu.
On a side note, DD had diarreah a couple of weeks ago and DH and I had a conversation about being so lucky that she has never thrown up. Well, don't you know the next morning...yuck!
