Clicky Poll of Boys Names

We're having a hard time picking our son's name and we'd love some random opinions. We have a daughter named Tessa, if that affects your choice at all. Thanks, girls!!

Re: Clicky Poll of Boys Names

  • I like Griffin a lot. I think it is a solid classic name w/o being too common or trendy sounding. I also think it works well on a child and a grown man. The others are nms.

  • Thanks for your votes. It's interesting to see what the general population has to say (without knowing us.) Most names are getting the big thumbs down, so maybe we're a little out there with our choices. Good to know!

  • I like Zavier!  Not too much of a fan of Griffin, but it isn't terrible.

  • I like Xavier, but spelled this way only. The others are a bit trendy/surnamey for my liking.

  • My husband and I go back and forth on the spelling of Xavier/Zavier. We want to pronounce it the traditional way which we believe is "Zavier" not "X-zavier." Because of that, we thought spelling it with a Z might be easier for people, since its misprounced so often. We're definitely not trying to be trendy. Urgh. This naming thing is tough!

This. I like Xavier, spelled with an X not a Z. It's weird with a Z. Landon is OK but Langdon sounds like something that grows in the bottom of the ocean to me and the others are really trendy.

Maybe it's just me, but all your choices are a little unusual- which seems to be the trend. I don't think of any of those as traditional or classic names.

  • Good point. I didn't look at it that way.

I disagree. There is a big difference between Xavier and Colton, Langdon, etc.

About the Xavier, you can either correct a few people on the pronunciation, or a crap load of people on the spelling. I thought most people above the Mason-Dixon line pronounced it "Zavier" anyway...

  • Don't care for any of your choices except Griffin.
