Any recommendations for sit n stand strollers?

My DD will be coming along in January.  My DS is going to be 3 in December - I'm going to need some type of combined transportation for them both being that DS gets a bit tired of walking at times and may need a rest.  All the sit n stand strollers I'm researching only go up to 45 lb weight limit my DS is 40 1/2 lbs now.  Do you think it's safe?  Or is there another alternative for me?  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.  TIA  Kel

  • I have the Joovy Ultralight Caboose and really like it.  It's light, and DD1 (who'll be 3 in December) likes to sit on it.

  • When I asked about this a few weeks ago, everyone recommended the Joovy Ultralight Caboose but I'm not sure of the weight limits on it.
  • I don't have it yet because DD 2 was too small for the front seat when we decided to get a double (the graco snugride can fit with an adapter. but the baby was too far away from me for my liking. especially when she was brand new, if that makes sense?). so we got a double jogger that fully reclines that we could use with her once she was like 3 months old.

We are going to sell the double stroller on craigslist soon and get the Joovy Ultralight. I tried the sitnstand and I could not turn it to save my life -- the Joovy was 100 x's easier.

I got the best price I saw so far was on ALbeeBaby.com.

I really wanted the MiaModa Compaigna (sp?) but no stores near me carry it to try it out and I am a firm believer in the test it before you buy it way of thinking.

    Good luck!

  • I also vote for the Joovy ultralight caboose. I had it but sold it on craigslist as my DD wouldn't sit in it. it just didn't work for us but I did love it.

  • Another vote for Joovy Ultralite.  Got ours from Albeebaby.  My girls are tiny so I never even checked the weight limits, but I know it comes with an adapter for the infant seat.  We just got it since we had a double stroller with the girls.  (DD#1 was only 20 months when DD#2 was born and I liked being able to strap both of them in and contain them.)    Anyway, love love love it.  Heard mixed reviews about the sit-n-stand (babytrend?) and everyone loved this.  It was on sale at Albee too, so wait for another sale if you can.
