There's two obvious questions here, what the freak did the child just eat and why in the worldwas there something stuck in the couch?  

I don't even want to think about how long whatever it was has been there.  Now I feel dirty.

Kids do the grossest things. One time M said she was going to make her own snack - I asked her what she was going to make. She said she was going to eat the cereal out of her carseat. That thing got vacuumed out right then and there.?
