My kiddos don't share a room but my best friends kiddos do.. she had her little one sleeping in their room until she was sttn then she moved her over.. if katelyn gets up in the middle of the night and won't stop screaming after tiff goes in to calm her than Luke goes in and sleeps with them.. this does not happen very often more lately than anything as K is teething.. she is almost 10 months old.. but Luke is almost 4
I'm hoping to move my 18 month old in with her 3 year old sister soon. Our new baby is due in January and I'd love to have her out and his nursery done before he arrives. I don't know if this is going to be possible though. We got her a toddler bed and she really doesn't want to sleep in it. I haven't pushed the issue since I'm worried about sleepless nights. I am still debating if I should go ahead and do it soon to get through it and get things back to normal before he arrives or if I should wait it out and let him stay in our room in a basinet until she is either ready or he is too big for the basinet. I didn't want to buy a second crib since DD #1 was out of hers by 16 1/2 months but #2 just doesn't seem ready to give it up yet.
I just ramdomly came over here today...but I thought I'd throw in my two cents. Ours are 22 months apart. Younger one had reflux, etc so we waited until all that was settled before moving them in together. Younger one was about 1 and older one was not quite 3. It was super easy. They did wonderfully. The older one sleeps through everything and the younger one wakes up but goes back to sleep easily. I think we could have done it much earlier even with the reflux wake ups, etc. Younger one had quit taking morning nap but picked it back up b/c they were talking in there and not going to sleep! Its all evened out though.
