Re: FEMME

  • Aw, you're so sweet to check up on me! It was actually all fine. His teachers are AWESOME and they weren't overly concerned, just emailing to see if we had any strategies that work particularly well to stop him spitting and scratching because of the health implications of sharing bodily fluids and potentially breaking other people's skin.

We went in to pick him up early and she felt horrible that she has alarmed us so much, but after all our issues with our daycare last year we're a bit jumpy when it comes to things like that.

Anyway, they're dealing with it simply by telling him that if he needs to spit he needs to do it in the bathroom and to use gentle hands when he touches people. I also told her about my pregnancy and some other stuff that's going on at home that might account for why he's acting up a bit (i've been sick so much and I know he's worried, etc.).

All is well. I am absolutely anti spitting and I hate hate hate that he does it, but I also know that when he does do it it's to get a reaction, so I try not to feed into that too much. Thanks again for asking!

  • I'm glad it went so well and that he's in such a wonderful place now!!! That has to be a huge relief for you.
