We are making a huge effort to go to the pumpkin patch today.

Seriously, last year I think we were there 8 times. Rory loves it there. This year...well, first of all it was snowing for a couple weeks. And man, it is not easy to plan something when you have a baby who likes to sleep all the time. I really am grateful that he is so easy and a great sleeper, but we never get to go out as a family because of it. I suppose it would be asking for too much to have him like to sleep in his carseat?

Oh well, this should be interesting!

DD did a lot of sleeping in her seat. I thought it was unfair to DS to stay in ALL the time.

I had been looking forward to the pumpkin patch since summer and we've gone once b/c of the weather. I was hoping my parents could take M today but it will be cold and muddy. No fun.

We couldn't have survived without the bjorn and ergo. He slept through a lot of things but at least DD still got to go do stuff ;-)

We haven't made it this year yet either, and I'm beginning to worry that we aren't going to! We always go several times a year, but now that L is in school it kind of messes up everything! lol. I hate being restricted to weekends!

Thankfully, she is thrilled to just go outside and ride her bike at home. And she gets to do a lot with just one of us. It is the whole family trips that we don't do as much of. It's only temporary, I suppose. If only the weekend could be 3 or 4 days rather than just 2!

We are going to try him in the carrier today. Up until this point, he really wasn't big enough when we tried before.

DS slept in the carseat/stroller a lot in the early days. But, DS also LOVES to be worn in the Beco Butterfly carrier. Even now, he prefers that over the stroller for activities like apple picking or the pumpkin patch.
