It doesn't worry you that if you were there and there was another shooting, that there is another person there with a gun who plans to use it? I don't see how 2 people shooting is going to make things better?
I understand being nervous, but if you are scared to the point that you feel you have to have a gun to go someplace, I would not go there. I live in a big city. There have been shootings at places I go, but I don't think myself, my family, or the rest of society would be any safer with me carrying a gun, no matter how much practice I had. You are going to be a nervous freaking mess if a situation arose that you needed to use it.
Re: DandR
and you are assuming every gun toting person is exactly like you and likely to be nervous in the situation....
honestly, I handle high stress situations super calmly...its my nature. And i'm sure there are other people who do as well. For sure I wouldn't want someone who is nervous carrying a gun, but someone who can be level headed in tense moments..you bet I'd want a good guy with a gun who could help me out of a situation if need be.
Considering cops get nervous, I think it is very unlikely that you, or any other not professionally trained person, could calmly pull out there gun and shot a person. I would be very surprised if attempting to kill someone wouldn't make you nervous?
But, we can agree to disagree I'll just be sure not to go to the mall if I visit Omaha -- LOL, just kidding
