So, we know that we all feel more bloated at certain times of the month due to water retention. I was reading that this was caused by hormones released at different times of the cycle. Does anyone know when the "peak" weight time is supposed to be, vs. the "lowest" weight time during the cycle in order to really know if you're losing or gaining weight? Also, any ideas on how much the weight typically fluctuates?
For me, I think my weight fluctuations are probably about 2-3 lbs, but sometimes I'm not sure if that's just due to my slacking / then working out / then slacking cycles
Re: Weight fluctuations during cycle
It is not uncommon for weight to fluctuate from 7 - 10# a day. Every woman is different, so there really is no "average time" or "average weight gained" during or before AF.
If you're working on weight loss I recommend weighing yourself 1 time a week, on the same day at the same time. I think Monday mornings after getting out of bed and using the bathroom is best. If you weigh daily you may see to many little fluctuations that are due more to fluid fluctutations and not actual differences in dry weight.
This. Nothing like feeling like a Hoss when you want to feel the hottest... sigh
